"At long last, the curtains began to open. She looked up, her heart hammering against her ribcage, and greeted the audience with a smile." Sarah is on her way to the last Performance for the night, but dreads for what she has to do; what she has done for quite a while, and what is expected of her to carry on doing for the rest of her life. But as the evening progresses, a strange event takes place that might just change Sarah's attitude.

The crowd erupted, roaring with glee, at every clumsy mishap they did see, red splashes stained the stage with haste, as an awkward teen became a victim of disgrace, with a bumbling slip, he hit the floor, and the laughter grew louder, more giggles and chuckles, laughter galore. Pull the curtain, the scene must end, the audience's breath held tight, my friend. The final act, a poor display, the lights dim, and the curtain sways. "Come again for another show," they say. Amidst the jeers and thunderous roars, I couldn't help but join, of course- for what was left but to laugh and stare, at the monsters we saw ourselves become.
