"I'm not evil, I'm just not your definition of a hero,"

--------------------------------------------------------

She looked everywhere, scanning her surroundings like she could take a photo with her mind. Her walk was calm, she was in no hurry.

"Unlike you. You seem impatient, you want me to get to the point," She stopped walking abruptly and turned to look you in the eye. Her piercing black eyes flashed crimson, red as the blood that stained her sword she wore like a medal by her hip.

You didn't respond, your eyes locked on her sword for the moment being. The girl "hmph"'d before jumping into the river, below the bridge you stood at. You ran there, to the rail, but she was gone. Not a trace of her left.

But below, a message awaited you written with water lilies in the stream. The lilies didn't move, like they were waiting for you to read the message.

"Jump in, or are you afraid..?"

And with that the lilies floated away, as if the message didn't exist. As if the girl didn't exist. You backed away from the rusty rails, and turned around.

Before falling backwards into the river.

And into this story.

Book 1 of "Bloodlust" series. "I'm going to give you one chance to answer me. Where is she?" She asked, looking into my eyes. I looked back at her, terrified. "I swear that I don't know what you're talking about!" I answered, starting to shiver. She smiled wickedly. "You know, the only reason I sent my brother away was because I wanted to interrogate you myself. Whatever he would have done to you doesn't even begin to compare with what I'm going to do to you if you don't answer me. So... One more time. Where. Is. She?" She said, in a condescending tone, as if she was explaining something to a child. "Look, if you want to kill me go ahead. I don't know anything." I said, looking into her eyes and faking the confidence that I definitely didn't have. She looked at me, cocking her head to the side, and for a few seconds I though she wouldn't to anything. My relief didn't last though as she laughed coldly and looked at me with a half smile. Her laughter was beautiful, even though it sent shivers down my spine. It was the same with her eyes and smile. All of which showed me that she wasn't kidding. "Where did you get the necklace?" She asked. I froze, was that what that was all about? I didn't know! "I told you before, my dad left it to me, I swear." I said truthfully. She looked at me for a few seconds, thinking. I couldn't shake the feeling that everything about her was cold. "Well, even if you don't know anything, she'll come for you. And I will have the answers I want." She said with indifference before adding huskily in my ear. "And... I think we can have some fun together while you stay. Don't you agree?" She said as she laughed again and gave me her signature smile. Everything about her showed me that she wanted to hurt me and even more. She wanted me, in every way possible. Rated M(Mature content): Contains triggering content, read at your own risk.
The Story of Midnight by Silverwynd

"Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?

A/N: Guys plz, this story is discontinued on this account. 😭😭 So many people are still putting it in their reading lists that I feel bad. I'm rewriting it on another account, the account is @-_-lemme_sleep (I think) I commented on the last chapter of this story with it so if you just click on the comments on the last chapter you'll see that account. And I'm rewriting it so please red from the beginning. My name is Min Ae-ri Shin ... Or it was that. One day as I was taking a bus home from my college as usual while playing an otome game on my phone since I was regularly one of the last few people to get off the bus an... An incident happened which lead me to an early death. If this had happened a few years ago I would have probably celebrated this. However, since the universe just hates me so much It decided to take me when I was finally free from one of my greatest chains. My "family". But that didn't even compare to what happened next... I thought that after dying I would finally be set free of this crappy world, but instead... I just got transmigrated into a worse one. As the villainess. Now I'm stuck in this damn game trying to get one of the many interests who were supposed to ruin my life as a villainess to kill me so that I could possibly return back to my original world whether it was in my original body or by reincarnation since this damn game wouldn't let me die on my own. Now the question was will I be able to somehow return back to my original world or chained to my dreadful fate as the villainess?

Geovanni Have you ever gotten that feeling that somebody was watching you? And that person who was watching you wasn't normal. I have felt that way all of my life; but then again I felt as if I went missing nobody would even notice or care I was gone. I am 23 and just graduated from college. I was there an extra year because I had to take care of my family. I had to transfer back into the city and pick up the extra work because my mom died, and my dad became addicted to anything that would numb his pain. My little sister and brother would be lost without me here. But now I could care less. A cold breeze blew through my window waking me up from my thoughts. I looked over in the corner and saw that nothing was there. It was odd because I felt like someone well more like something was there. It had to be my imagination getting the best of me. I laid back in my bed and closed my eyes. Then all of a sudden I got the feeling I wasn't alone. But the really strange thing is that even if there was someone in here with me I felt safe. Jordan. I watched her as she slept. In fact I have been watching her since she was born. I have waited half a century to find that one person. I think I have finally settled on her. She was my choice. I know. After being in as many relationships as I have you know things. I felt my fangs tingle. Her blood smelled so sweet. Her heartbeat was steady and strong. I took my tongue and ran it across my fang. The temptation to indulge in her red liquid was far too strong. I let out a low growl and jumped out her window. I was ready for a hunt. "Did you see her Jordan?" "Yes, and tomorrow night you will turn her," "Why do I have to turn her?" "Ezra, you know once you turn them, they hate you," "I didn't hate pops," "You wanted to join though," "True, but first see if she wants to be turn before you jump to conclusions," I nodded my head, before me and Ezra took off to find some fresh blood for the night.

This world is set in the past. In a time where nothing was impossible, Where dragons fly above our heads. We learned to ride them, and become friends with them. We created artifacts that make our dragos small and then big again when we need them. That's what sets our world into two sides. A side where dragon riders lived and flew on them. And a side where they hated dragons, and the one that rode them. Even though we managed to work in peace, there was no war between us. Only fights that were under control and rules. In the Arena in the city called Aeloria. A city where there were both sides. They mostly ignored each other. But it was hard to get in this city. Mostly it was the people that lived there. And a few outsiders, but that was either the sellers, chosen group of warriors or dragon riders, and lastly the best fighters of the academies that went into the arena. To prove who is stronger and the winner will receive high quality weapons or any other things of their choice. One day the darkness came and war started. Not between us, but with a kingdom that was across the sea. And this battle or war changed everything we knew. I'm Ardyn, I'm on the side where we ride on dragons. And this story can be easy but also hard to understand. But I will still share it. But first we have to start from the beginning. What will this story bring? Will we be able to see the outcome? Let's wait and see. --------------------------------------------- "Get on!" Leora screams at Ardyn. Extending her hand for her to take. "No, I'm not getting there I hate ships." I shook my head and took a step back. Leora sighed and shook her head in mocked amusement. "Are you telling me you are able to fly on a dragon. But you are scared of standing on a ship. Don't make me laugh." "Yes. So what, I'm not getting on." I said angry and she grabbed my hand and pulled me up. Have you ever had one of those terrible yet annoyingly pivotal moments? You know, that monumental fragment of time that flips everything you have ever known. That plot twist second that completely takes you by surprise. The one just before the storm hits and everything goes to hell. Yes? Because you see, that moment happens to be my whole damn life. It wasn't always like this though. I used to have a pretty mundane existence, happy to just get good grades and be around my friends. God I wish I could get that simplicity back, I'd never complain it was boring again. But I know I'm not going to ever get back my old life because well... I died. (Kinda) But I woke up. And I was thrilled, beyond grateful I wasn't dead. But then I realized that there was one minor detail that had changed about my reality. I was given the chance to live but it turns out I woke up as the villainess in an otome game my friend used to be obsessed with - Kingdom of freaking Hearts (I added the freaking in there for effect, it's just Kingdom of Hearts) Where, for the record, the villainess only has two possible endings 1) execution and 2) getting exiled. So Fate was like, "Don't worry, I'll save you. Here's a chance to live" and then was like "psyche, screw you. You're still going to die but I'll let you suffer a little first." So now, if only to annoy Fate by proving it wrong, I am determined to survive. I can and I will if I play by these simple rules: 1) Befriend Heroin 2) Avoid Aryn Edwards at All Costs as well as other capture targets And 3) Be the top student at the academy and become an invaluable asset to my Kingdom so I become indispensable, thus unkillable. I'm determined, stubborn, persistent and I will live passed 16. Fate made a big mistake setting me up to die. Since it threw this plot twist at me, I figure I'll return the favor. I'll be the biggest plot twist Fate never saw coming...

After I suddenly died I possessed the body of what I thought was an extra within a novel. From then on my life was mostly calm, though not fulfilling. Until one day I discovered I wasn't just a background figure; instead I was an insignificant character who'd end up being the villainous Grand Duke's secretary, only to die shortly after being near him! But I had no choice, it was too late to change my fate, so I decided to live as obediently as possible under the orders of the sadist villain. But I still had a plan. Even before the female lead makes her appearance, I will try in every way to make the villain a little more normal, or at least ensure that the two do not meet, so that no one will face a harsh death, including me! And then, after the villain doesn't become obsessed with the female lead and becomes more normal, I will be able to resign and live peacefully. So I just cleared all the suspicions he might have about me in order to not incur his wrath and die like in the novel. * * * "I'll give you a choice." The corner of his lips raised crookedly. Though that smile did not reach his eyes at all. "One, don't resign and stay here forever..." His gaze was enough to unnerve me. "Two, let me kill those who dared to give you the idea of resigning...then don't go and stay here forever." No, haven't I already made sure that the villain has become a little more normal!? ...What the heck is going on!? He shouldn't be like this!
