Charlotte had spent the past six months pretending she wasn't heartbroken. She threw herself into work, took on the most dangerous assignments, and avoided Engfa like the plague. But now, Engfa was her boss. She couldn't escape her. She was everywhere, making it nearly impossible for Charlotte to focus. This was why she preferred fieldwork-less office time, fewer chances of running into Engfa. And just when she thought it couldn't get any worse- "CHARLOTTE, WHAT THE HELL?!" Patcha slammed her laptop shut and glared at her. "Why is your name trending on Twitter?" Charlotte blinked. "...Huh?" Lin cackled. "Oh, girl, you're in trouble. BIG trouble." Charlotte grabbed her phone, opened Twitter, and-oh. Oh, no. #JournalistExposed #GrandInsiderScandal There, clear as day, was a photo of her breaking into a restricted government building last night. Engfa finally spoke, voice cold and sharp. "Charlotte. My office. Now." Shit.
