Batman has ordered the Young Justice team to subdue and capture a psychotic assassin, even if it costs them their lives because he believes this young super villain had a rough start to life and Batman is going to force them to join the right side, whether they want to or not.

Painter is an unknown psychopath with no identity to be traced to. Painter does not want to be found, Painter wants to find the people who corrupt or murder the innocent and murder them. The Painter is only ever seen in black with blood smeared over their hands and cheeks and a sadistic smile on their face. No one messes with the Painter unless they want to die
