Small Box *Deaf/Hearing*

In this age, human interaction has been reduced to a small box that glows. It is a portal, allowing us to speak to souls across the vast curve of the planet or to the person sitting right beside us. We call it a phone.

But imagine for a moment: what if the box were taken away? If the light flickered out for everyone at once, would they sit in the silence, waiting? Or would they finally open their doors and go looking for a voice to answer their own?

This is the story of a girl who could hear and a boy who could not.
