Tanner Lydiat has been working at Rodi for a year now, and he hates it more every day. Surrounded by ancient gods and powerful magic, it's getting harder and harder to discern reality from make-believe. Just when he thinks things can't get worse, a new girl named Cecilia is put under the bakery's spell, throwing his life into even more turmoil.

Tanner is fascinated by Cecelia and her determined quest to separate fact from fiction.
