"Jesse?" The teacher asked, he looked up from his phone in response. "Would you mind singing something for us? You can pick anyone in the room to sing with you." She said and hands shot up in the air, and 'oh pick me, pick me's were shouted out. "It would be my pleasure!" He said with a charming smile. He then looked to me, please don't pick me, don't pick me, "You come sing with me." He demanded as he made his way down to the stage, there were exclamations and yells of WHAT! Oh believe me I don't like this anymore than you do. I sat there in disbelief not wanting to go up there with him. "Echo?" The teacher asked. "Are you coming?" With that I begrudgingly stood up from my seat and walked slowly down the stairs to the stage where Jesse was waiting with a microphone. "I'll let you pick the song." He tempted. "Oh how chivalrous." I said with as much flare and sarcasm as I could, taking the mic from his hand." ~~ Echo Mckenzie is the nerd of L.A high school, with a secret.
