Ismay Harris is forced against her will, by her rebel parents, to attend court as a potential bride for the heir to the throne. Her parents plan to use her to get insider information and access to the royal affairs.

But Ismay would rather curl up with a book and stay away from a rebellion of blood shed. She could careless about politics.

Although, Ismay wouldn't dare defy her manipulative parents. So she agrees to play along with their little scheme, just until she can find a way to get out of it without causing any trouble.

But things become more stressful when she befriends Prince Isaac and learns that he's nothing like his tyrant of a mother, the queen. The very queen who is responsible for the upset with the rebels.

Something pricks Ismay heart when Isaac talks to her. He gives her hope of a better future.
