Joelle Collins has social anxiety, panic attacks and general anxiety. She's very shy and has no one to categorize as a friend. She avoids talking to anyone and everyone because of her disorder, and it doesn't help her one bit that some people in her school pick on Joelle since she is so timid. She feels like no one understands her and her mental disorder and she wants just one other person to be there for her besides her mum.  

Harry Styles is another teenager that is battling the same mental disorder. Except the difference is that his anxiety is so much more severe due to a traumatizing experience. It was so extreme that it lead to him moving to London. Harry is the boy that always sits in the corner of the room. The boy that no one notices and pays attention to because he is that antisocial and reserved. He feels like all hope is gone and can't get his old life back before it happened.      

 

They say that opposites attract but what if someone alike is who they really need?

I ask, feeling my hands fumble as I try not to act as nervous as I feel while waiting for the answer. "The whole album is about you..." he tells me, and I realize he's more nervous than I am. I wrote this when I was like 15 so it's awful and horribly inaccurate regarding lots of stuff and the characters are really, really annoying. If it didn't have so many reads and votes and that I would delete it. PLEASE, if you want something with better writing and still full of angst, look at my other fics instead (Tempest is my fav) // Harry is upset, he just wants someone to care about him but he keeps pushing everyone away. Despite being packed tightly in a tour bus with the rest of the band, he still manages to avoid them. The boys begin to worry, Louis especially. // PSSST, i think my other stories are better! His tiny bit of nerves are squashed down by his confidence and (not so) amazing sense of humor. He's determined to live his college life to the fullest and not let anyone walk over him again. He's respectful to teachers of course, but refuses to let any peers of his tell him what to do or control him. Until he meets a certain blue eyed boy... Louis Tomlinson could easily be the cockiest student on campus. He does everything he can to get what he wants, even when he has to be not-so-nice to do so. He really isn't a bad person, really. He just doesn't want people to know that. He buries his emotions and uses his strong sense of arrogance to keep those walls around his heart standing. When the two boys meet, a battle of dominance begins. They want each other, badly. Louis will do everything he can to get Harry, he always gets what he wants after all. Harry wants Louis, but refuses to let that happen. The last thing he needs is a relationship with a strongheaded asshole. But as Louis begins to chip away at Harry's resolve to stay away, Harry begins to bring down those walls around the other's heart. Will they let go of their stubborn ways and grow closer together? Or will they hold true to them and destroy each other in the process? I guess only time will tell.
