Overwatch: The Alternate Future

Set in a post apocalyptic world, Overwatch, a global peace keeping task force, had successfully established temporary peace among humans and the robotic AI omnics. When an Overwatch test pilot, Lena Oxton vanished during a teleportation Silpstream accident, Commander Jack Morrison, pressured by his own guilt, chased after Lena only to be flung into the future where a war is threatening to come and Overwatch no longer exist.

This piece was written prior to the introduction of Doomfist into the game. While the story follows closely to the world set by Jeff Kaplan, Michael Chu and the Blizzard team, it may deviate from the storyline after patch notes on 1st August 2017

Update: Doomfist and Moira were introduced but I unfortunately will not fit them (or any new heroes) into the story as I felt it would unnecessarily expand the story. That being said, what happen to them can be implicitly assumed in the later chapters.
