♙♘♗♖♕♔ ♟♞♝♜♛♚ Enter Tyra Welsch. The twenty three year-old secretary to the billion dollar making company, Ackerman Co. With her hourglass figure, hazel eyes, flawless skin, plump lips, who would've thought she'd never had a boyfriend once in her whole entire life? Not only is she "blessed" on the beauty department, she's also "blessed" on the brains department; she's a woman with beauty and the brains, so to speak. Speaking of brains, she has been the undefeated champion in a lot of chess competitions worldwide. Tyra kills every negative thing in her life with kindness except for her boss, who infuriates her in ways she could never perceive. In simpler words, she resents him. Who is her boss, you ask? The answer to that would be Silas Ackerman. The twenty five year-old CEO of Ackerman Co. The moment he steps inside a room, every woman swoons over him, staring at him in adoration whilst every man looks at him in envy. He's got women near him, left and right, here and there. With his jawline chiseled by the gods, perfectly shaven facial hair, intimidating grey-blue eyes and broad build, who wouldn't be? Ah yes, Tyra Welsch. One year, one agreement, an infinite amount of moves on a chess board, one great humiliation, endless bickering, and countless toss and turns later, a spark between the two is made. I believe there is a quote that states "the more you hate, the more you love". Will Tyra be able to accept her fall for Silas? As well as Silas to Tyra? Hold on tight, because this story is about to get interesting. © Leigh All rights reserved.

"So, let me get this straight. You stomped all over his paperwork?" She started. "Not intentionally, but yes," I confirmed it. "Threw a drink in his face?" She added. "Expensive red wine." I described. "Rammed into his car with yours deliberately?" she counted on her third finger. "Um...I'm not proud of that one," I said cringing. "And called him offensive names?" She ended the list and I winced. "Twice." I specified. "And you're still alive?" She blinked, looking genuinely surprised. "Geez, don't be dramatic or anything..." I frowned at her hyperbolic statement. "Maybe he's keeping you around to get revenge." She suggested. Possible. I wouldn't put it past him. "I didn't know alright!" I exclaimed. "Let's hope that excuse is acceptable.." She was merely amused. "Working with my new boss is going to be a piece of work." ** Synopsis: When the CEO of Signature Heights: Jensen Black, and a stubborn employee: Alexandra Brook, clash, it's a battle of wits & a war of perseverance.
