Austyn Thomas has never just stopped and stayed in one place. Literally. With moving every six months so her food crazy, millionaire dad could open up another restaurant, there is no place she hasn't been.

She takes in each day and whips up a cupcake about it, then posts in on her blog Cupcake A Day. When an anonymous follower says to enter Food Network Star (Baking Edition) , she applies on a whim thinking she won't get it but hey, it would be fun if she did.

A plane ticket back to the US, a new soccer star roommate roommate, and a blue suitcase packed says otherwise.

***

"Well" Micheal says with a smirk, eyeing me from head to toe. "This changes everything."

"The stars." "What about them?" he asked, raising a perfect eyebrow, stepping closer. I took a step back with every step he took forward. "They're watching over us." He seemed to think about my words before speaking. "Over us? Or you think they're watching over you." "I know they're watching over us." My back hit the railing as he stood less than a foot away from me. His lips parted, releasing a puff of smoke into my face. The smell made me feel sick, but I didn't show it. "Mon cœur, no one is watching over us. It's just a fragment of your little imagination," he said bitterly, a cold look passing over his face. He dropped his cigarette, snuffing it out with his shoe. "No," I breathed, shaking my head, "the stars will always watch over us." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - *SLOWBURN* Isla Fischer, an 18 year old fresh out of high school and ready for life's adventures. {{COMPLETED}} The first time someone wouldn't pay attention to me because of a certain newborn, I was furious. So furious in fact, I ended up scribbling "Regarde moi chienne" all over freshly painted walls of our new home with permanent marker. You can only guess what that means in English. I was four. The first time someone told me I had to choose between two things that I wanted, I compromised. I ate the cupcake after dinner and crept down to the kitchen in the middle of the night for a slice of my fathers famous Boston Cream Pie Crepes I was craving all evening. I was seven at the time. They never found out. The first time something was put on my student disciplinary record was when this little shit named Preston stole my money at recess and I ended up clawing his face before kicking him in his precious jewels. I was suspended, but he got what he deserved. I never regretted it. I was eleven. Oh, and the first time I wanted something that was completely and utterly off limits? Well, let's just say there's a first time for everything. Cover by: Kyliadawnwood
