It's a KOTLC Reverse AU where Fitz was sent off to the lost cities and isnt found until his late teens when Sophie Foster identifies him as an elf and brings him to the lost cities. His best friend, Cara, is taken by the Neverseen, and he doesn't realize that he's actually a Vacker. Not an experiment by anyone btw, he's just Fitz who lived in the human world for a while.

Alvar was killed by the neverseen, and it tore a hole in his family. Jolie, on the other hand, is alive and well and working with the Neverseen instead of Alvar.
