Lizzy’s life was fairly normal. She had two happily married parents, an irritating sister who was going through a “phase” and a dog that had a phobia of mice. She had good friends, good grades and most of her teachers liked her. That was until she saw the ghosts. Now her life is turned upside down by the arrival of ghouls, suspiciously hairy men with equally suspicious teeth, her long lost mentally deranged grandmother who claims she can read peoples future and especially the new group of boys in town who call themselves the “Riders.” Formed by the First Creators, the Riders were designed to protect humans from paranormal menaces. Led by a narcistic tool, they’re assigned to a sleepy town in Northern Ireland where the dead are passing through the barriers. They’ve dealt with the same problem hundreds of times so it should be a piece of cake… You know, except from the witches, warlocks, the occasional werewol-ahem shifter and a deranged psycho who’s life dream is to summon and release demonic souls and destroy the world… His mother must be so proud.

Then he learned that other people were, too. When Niall is sent to a new school, all the way in London, he never expects to meet people like him. No one there is normal, but still, Niall doesn't fit in. As the only child of the King, Niall has to make a decision: keep his true self a secret or come out to the world? Even with his secret, Niall befriends many people in the school, but he soon realizes that everything is not what it seems.
