A Junior in highschooler named Shelby had a normal life until her whole life changes when she faces the death of her mother. Life seems to go downhill from there. She watches her life begin to fall apart before her very eyes. She just hopes she can put it back together before its to late. Her journey tests her faith and pushes her to her limits. Since her mothers death she's had a habit of pushing others away, well anyone who's not in her family. She begins to warm up to one person in particular when they try quite hard to befriend her. Despite her pushing him away he persists believing that she is not as cold as she leads everyone to believe. But her life seems to continue to get worse and she wonders if there's any light left in her life. She feels left alone in darkness.

Nate has this best friend who is the biggest jerk in school, school's player, bad boy, Aiden Throns. Nate tells Aiden that he really likes Charlotte. Aiden and Nate are like brothers, I mean, Nate was adopted by Aiden's parents, so Aiden cares about him, like he is his biological brother. Aiden thinks that Charlotte is using Nate for his brain, because Nate is a super smart guy, knowing Charlotte, she had a brain tumor, so she isn't the brightest/smartest. And then they started to have feelings for each other after some time Noah left Rose due to some circumstances. But Noah didn't let Rose know what was the reason behind leaving her. Noah messaged her saying he wants to break up with her. those words broke Rose very badly which left a deep scar on her heart. every day Rose thought he will come back she was waiting for her every day thinking for a reasonable reason but only his memories were left.
