[Excerpt] No More Maybes (a No More Maybes novel) by writeriz
4 parts Complete
*full available on Amazon. Free in KU.* Can you believe in someone who can't believe in himself? Maybe... Maybe I just wanted to get through Year 12, coaching, and soccer with no distractions. Maybe life had other plans. Maybe I shouldn't be drawn to Cole; the new guy who gets into fights and smokes. Maybe I should want to date Jaime; the nice, steady guy who's always been there. Maybe you can't help who you fall for, whether they're good for you or not. Maybe it shouldn't matter as long as you're happy. Maybe each new bruise on Cole's face is a reason to walk away. Maybe there's more to the secrets he hides and that's a reason to be there for him. Maybe a lifetime of pain can't be washed away by anyone else but you. Maybe finally proving that someone else isn't going to walk away is enough. Or, maybe it's time I got out of my own head and stopped wondering. Maybe it's time I just live by my own rules and find out the answers to all those maybes. It's time for no more maybes. A sweet YA romance about first love and learning to understand different experiences, this is Cole's story from Aurora's point of view. The companion novel, Gray's Blade, is from Cole's point of view; much like the characters themselves, Cole's version is darker, dirtier, and rougher. Read through to the end of No More Maybes for a sneak peek at chapter one of Cole's side. Please be aware that this story is set in Australia and therefore uses Australian English spelling and syntax.

Free Sample: To the world, Oakley Miller shines. She's a rising track star. Fierce. Focused. Untouchable. With the Olympics in sight, she has no time for distractions-especially not the kind with tattoos, a bad reputation, and eyes that seem to see through every wall she's ever built. Justin Walker fights for a living. In the ring, on the streets, against the demons that never quite left him. Fame came fast and left scars. He doesn't do soft. Doesn't do complicated. And he definitely doesn't do girls like her-the kind that look like they've got everything, and yet carry a silence heavier than fists. But when Oakley becomes part of Justin's world, the collision is instant. They challenge each other. Hurt each other. Need each other in ways neither of them are ready to admit. Underneath the tension is something real. Something dangerous. Because neither of them has ever known love that didn't come with bruises. In a world obsessed with perfection, Oakley is slowly unraveling. Haunted by a past she won't speak of, and a future that demands more than she has left to give. And Justin-he's the only one who sees the cracks beneath the gold. But loving someone who runs isn't easy. And trusting someone who fights to push you away might be impossible. Golden Doesn't Glow is a gritty, emotional romance about two broken souls drawn together by pain, pulled apart by fear, and held together by something neither of them fully understands. It's about trauma that lingers, healing that hurts, and the fight to be loved without falling apart. Because not every golden girl wants to glow. Sometimes, she wants to survive. Beauty & Her Bruises

25 parts Complete

When you feel like your world comes crashing down, you just want to die. When you fall, you don't want to get up. When you're hit, you let it back. When you bleed, you watch it trickle down your body. When you're broken into millions of pieces, you let the pieces lay there. When you're dying inside, you don't make a noise. Zara is the girl in the back of the classroom who's afraid to voice her opinion against everyone else. She's afraid to look anyone in the eyes. She's even afraid to trudge down the halls of the school but she does it because she has two things keeping her there. 1) Liam. Her best friend. He's the reason that she's not dead, literally. She's never attempted to suicide but her classmates have attempted to kill her. He's the big, muscular teddy bear that every girl wants on their shoulders. The only reason he hangs with Zara? He has a secret that, if found out, he would be in Zara's position. 2) Father. Even though she has bruises from being beat, broken toes from heels, and mental scars from the names, it's much less worse than what father does to her. Of course, no one knows he does it. If Liam found out, he would be her knight in shining armor. Unfortunately when they have a falling out, Liam isn't there to save her when she needs him the most.
