Tragedy after tragedy. Death after death. It seems that fate had it out for the Jones family- from parents to children to grandchildren, no one was safe. Over the span of ten years, a large amount of the Jones family perished.

Lycia Trevils basically became an orphan after her mother, one of the Jones siblings, died. She was abandoned by her father and separated from her siblings. After she left an old family friend, she lived with her grandfather, where she changed from Lycia Trevils to the Lycia Trevils. Socialite. Popular. Cheerleader. The golden girl. Every girl wanted to be her, and every guy wanted to date her.

She was proving to be the best and brightest, despite all the misfortune that struck her family in the past decade. Then fate struck again, claiming the life of yet another member of her family tree. But this time, Lycia can do something about it- or at least she hopes she can.

But is the whole "fate strikes yet again" saying just a lie?
