She develops a tight bond with him (and his younger brother) so sometimes during their breaks she hangs out in his class room along with a few other history teachers, Lopez always bragging about her good job to them. Lopez has a tight connection with many students, he's those teachers you can't hate. So it makes it hard for eden to dislike him when he is so sweet to her. When eden begins to date Andy Locke he grows jealous, hurt with Eden, he often wouldn't look at her or talk to her even, so when she finally approached him about his emotion, he snaps.
