Ever since the beginning of time people have been searching for their soul mates, someone to spend the rest of their lives with. As the population grew, it got harder and harder to find the love people were looking for. With genetic intervention science found a way to take the genetic code from each person and match them with the right person. A clock was them implanted under the skin, an ever changing tattoo that would lead you to your perfect half. Everyone had one. From those with perfect lives to those with terminal illness.
Eli was different. Eli did not have a clock.
