The monsters are now on the surface,thanks to Frisk. But Frisk and their friends soon discover that some things are not what they seem, especially when it comes to supposedly haunted places like Freddy's. Even more mysterious is the strange dreams that Frisk keeps having. In them, Frisk is thrown into a room they doesn't recognize, and they are stalked by terrifying monsters, with only a light to protect them.
Meanwhile Gaster is having the same problem, except that he can do nothing but witness the horrific past of Fredbear's Family Diner, and Freddy's as well.
Even stranger is the cryptic messages.
H.E.L.P T.H.E.M S.A.V.E THEM!
these words keep appearing after every dream.
What is the meaning of these messages? And who is the mysterious figure who is sending them?

Frisk has freed the monsters of the Underground. Finally, monster kind is allowed to return to the surface. It's been 3 years since then. Yet the monsters still struggle to find their place within the world. Most accept the monsters, but there are those who wish nothing more than the complete annihilation of monster kind. Merely sealing them away is not enough. As ambassador for the monsters, it is Frisk's responsibility to fight for everyone's right to live on the surface. But at the same time, an internal battle rages on within her. Not only that, her relationship with Sans is strained. Trust is not so easily regained after the slaughter of one's beloved, despite it all being erased. Or was it really?
