The world has advanced tenfold. So much so, the human race almost turned itself extinct. Scientists were given free rein to experiment on humans, making them more effective fighters and helping them live longer.

Unfortunately, things didn't quite go to plan, and the Earth is forever changed. The human race has continued its advancement, and its destruction, but now only 4 factions exist.

Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Alice is a xenoarchaeologist, her passion in life has always been the study of ancient cultures, and now she has the opportunity to study the most ancient one of them all. The very one that modern Human civilization is now built on. Alice and her boyfriend accepted a posting on the famous and ancient ship, the U.S.S.A Umbra.
