Friends are hard to find and lila stops trusting people once her best friend betrays her and her family. But her dad employs a new gardener guy who could change her life. He is wise and old and has eyes that she can tell have seen the world. So is this hippy weirdo the father figure and bestfriend she has been looking for all her life or will he just let her down like everybody else? When the only person who ever broke her heart comes crashing back into her life she needs someone to confide in, someone to give her advice over her confused feelings and comfort her so who better than the new gardener who can teach her things that will help her figure if she really is okay.
