So, Katniss beats the capitol. She ends up with Peeta. She has two children. No more hunger games.
But its not the end. Katniss and her family may be free from the hunger games, But its not over. She can't get those images of dying Rue, and shooting Marvel. She can't stop thinking about Finnick, trapped. The mutts coming and... she doesn't want to think about it.
And Annie? Her baby boy has no father. Annie is mentally unstable, and she wont be able to raise a kid on her own, in that condition.
Peeta still has wig outs, calling Katniss horrible things, in front of the kids even.
Gale.... what if he still has feeling for Katniss? And what happened to Gale? Katniss hasn't heard from him sense he left for district 2.
And Prim, oh sweet Prim. Dying, while trying to help others.
No. The games are done, but at very costly measures.

When I was eleven. My whole world changed. Katniss' dad died in a mining accident. You think it wouldn't affect me but I loved him just as much as Katniss did. What if Katniss and her family, Gale and his family, and Peeta and his brother ran away from District Twelve after the Victory Tour? For this fic to be plausible, we need to assume: Katniss is 'selfish' enough to choose her own safety over that of other people (which she isn't because she's awesome). Gale doesn't know about the uprising in 8. Peeta tried to get his family to come too but only got his brother to agree, and he is okay with this. Haymitch doesn't do anything to stop them. President Snow has not electrified the fence (but let's assume he did electrify it that one time) and has no cameras in the woods. So if we can accept all of this, let's do it!Complete
