Gray Holland is the definition of the term ‘night owl.’
Thanks to her unconventional upbringing (a more accurate description would be ‘bizarre and outlandish,’ but whatever, she can digress), she always slept the daylight away and spent the dark hours of every night wallowing in self-pity with delusional parents that genuinely believed they were vampires.
When she finally runs away from home on her eighteenth birthday in search of some semblance of normalcy, she isn’t expecting to only stumble across brand new shades of ‘weird.’ After an aspiring author named Phillip discovers her sleeping in a park at noon and chooses her to be his muse, Gray finds herself suddenly shacking up with a severely depressed finger-painter, working the night shift at an adult bookstore, helplessly evading a local gang that she’s somehow managed to piss off, and falling in love with kind green eyes.
Maybe ‘weird’ isn’t the end of the world after all.
Maybe it’s exactly what she needs.
