Carter has struggled her entire life. Between her classmates calling her fat all throughout elementary school, sparking an ED in middle and high school, to her closeted gay feelings, Carter can barely manage to get out of bed in the morning, let alone live. Then, on a foreign exchange student program her best friend leaves for England and a new girl named Beth takes his place. Of course Carter can't stand her for taking her best friend and putting him on the other side of the world. But watching Beth get used to America is fantastic. And my god, is Beth breath taking.

Emma's parents are getting a divorce, her closest friend is the guidance counselor, and the new girl is attached to her like a leech. But things are far different than they appear. Emma's parents fight constantly. The guidance counselor, Ms. Carter, has OCD so bad she can't sleep sometimes. And the new girl? There's more to her than meets the eye. As in, she's a lesbian and has a giant crush on Emma. The problem? Emma isn't gay and wants nothing to do with Tori. Only... emotions aren't something you can turn off like a switch. After doing an English project with the biggest lesbian on the planet, Emma realizes she may not be as opposed to the thought as she once was. *Also on FictionPress*
