[Mature Content | 18+] "It was you, wasn't it, Lucian?" Damian's voice boomed with anger, sending shivers down Sera's spine. Whispers of the Darkling's ruthless nature had reached her ears, and she wondered if they were true. It couldn't be, could it? "What if it was me? Damian, grow up. She's not even human. How could she be your soulmate? We are Darklings, defined by power," Lucian retorted, his eyes widening as he looked at Sera. With trepidation, she nodded slightly, still fearful of Lucian's gaze. Before he could speak again, Damian unleashed his powers, ending Lucian's life in a macabre spectacle. The room reeked of blood as Lucian collapsed. "D-Damian!" Sera's voice quivered with shock and concern. "You have no idea what else I had in store for you. Be glad," Damian said, meeting Seraphina's eyes. Fear lurked in her gaze-a stark contrast to the strong woman he loved. He never wanted her to fear him. Driven by impulse, Damian pulled her close, capturing her lips in a passionate kiss. Their connection was intense, their hunger insatiable. "Don't be afraid of me, princess. Never," he whispered between kisses, reassuring her. She couldn't help but pull him into another deep kiss. - Update schedule: 2 chapters/day
