Elizabeth and Henry, married for almost ten years, are ecstatic when Henry receives a promotion. Though it involves a major move from Genoa, Nevada to Sacramento, California, the whole family is glad. Well, most of the family. Eight year old Vivianne absolutely refuses to accept that they won't be returning to Genoa, though she won't explain why.
This is only the beginning of their troubles. Once they arrive at their new house, strange things begin happening to Elizabeth. She is the only one who sees shadowy figures walking the halls and hears whispering voices.
