When the continent of America was being colonized and populated in the 1700s, the Lunarbloods (werewolfs) and the Nightgales (shapeshifters) moved from England to a small town in present-day Maryland. While there, they discovered a hidden town called Bronzewood in a giant forest. The two families built a castle where they would live and thrive: this castle was named Lunargale.
Now in present day, 18-year-olds Westin Lunarblood and Iris Nightgale are two descendants of the families. Ever since the age of 15, they have used their abilities to protect the people and place they love.
A couple days into their summer vacation, disaster is at their door. One of their greatest enemies is looking for war: Vampires. This enemy attacked and destroyed part of Bronzewood back in the 1800s, killing thousands. Now they have returned, seeking some kind of prize; if they don't get that prize, they are said to attack again.
In this story of war and survival, the Lunarbloods and Nightgales will have to fight to protect the town, castle, and people they each hold so dear. Will they succeed, or will Lunargale fall?

Ayn's Healing
Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Like two being a prime number. #1 in Healer - December 2021 #7 in Lycan - December 2022 ~95 000 words Cover photo by Jr Korpa via Unsplash Cover photo by Marc-Olivier Jodoin via Unsplash hiComplete
