In a world where vampires exist but, they have exceptions:

They can go out in sun light if they put on sunscreen but, can't last for long. They can last a long time without blood but, they have to quench that thirst eventually, too long without it can drive them insane. They do not have a reflection. They can smell blood from 10 feet away and depending on how thirsty they are their fangs will grow.

Vampires are often very pale. They don't smile a lot either. They're very secretive and don't "need friends."
