Dick Grayson is the only survivor of the Flying Graysons after his family plummet to their deaths on a sabotaged trapeze. Bruce Wayne witnesses it all and takes the boy in as his ward knowing how he feels. But Dick is a witness to the murder of his family as he overhears a conversation concerning the incident, rendering him the last piece of evidence. With Dick settling into his new life in Wayne Manor, the villains of Gotham team up to dispose of the lead and bring Bruce Wayne to his knees. Little does Dick know his life is about to change forever.

The Bat is dead, gods destroyed cities and killed heroes, villains had retreated and some not even created yet. Nightwing must regain control over his crazy life, a year after the death of Bruce Wayne. A story taking inspiration from Batman comics, movies and video games, with the main character of this media being Dick Grayson, the first Robin sidekick and my personal favourite DC character. The young man who collects the payments for the kills is a face Bruce recognises, Dick Grayson. The young man has been well trained by the mercenary, but as he battles with his conscience and his addiction, The Collector is on a downward spiral. When he was young he was the ward of Bruce Wayne and talk of the tabloids. As a member of Young Justice, in a mission gone wrong he almost lost his best friend to none other than Deathstroke the Terminator. Grief and guilt swallowed him whole, and that's when it all went wrong. He went after the mercenary, and was killed by a quick slash across his neck. However, his death wasn't the end, because that would be too easy. Dick Grayson--brought back by the Lazarus Pit--whose now dead to the world is useful to the mercenary as his student, successor, and pawn. After years of being a toy to the contract killer Dick escaped and ran from himself and everything he's ever known. He now goes by Grayson Lloyd, but mostly referred to as Gray. He took his mothers maiden name, and returned to Gotham, but not as a hero, as something the city would come to dispute about. Vigilante. Killer. Hero. Murderer. Mercenary. He's everything in between: the gray area if you will. To the crude city he's known as 'The Gotham Reaper'. The Batfamily of course have something to say about this new vigilante. This is Batman's city after all.

Later, Slade decides that he wants to learn more about the Teen Titans. So he sends in his best solider, his personal apprentice, out to spy on them. Dick Grayson. Now known mostly as Robin. Robin's perfect for this job.
