En algún momento a todos nos toca empezar con ese terrible primer día de clases que nos hace temblar...

Primer Día

Muchas caras nuevas
La tensión a fondo
La vergüenza a flor de piel
Respiro bien hondo

El profe nos mira atento
Hace preguntas
Prevalece el silencio
Siento calor en mi pecho

Me mira intenso,
Mientras ruego al cielo
Lo miro aturdido
¡Que alguien rompa el hielo!

Miro el reloj
Parece congelado
Ya quiero irme a casa
¡La hora no está pasando!

Al  fin acaba la clase
Acomodo las hojas
Cansado y aliviado
Guardo todas mis cosas

Camino para casa
Tratando de no pensar
De tomarme todo con calma
El semestre acaba de empezar

All of me, the hard parts of flesh you could never seem to love, drips down the drain. I am waiting for the day for your fingers to unscrew the pipes, dig through debris and mess, scrape your heart against the rust, just to find me, so we can go through it all over again. Here, in the pages I find myself, in the ink that writes against my flesh, I will whisper the sadness, the heartache, and the decaying for all of the unspoken.
