These events take place in current-day Las Vegas, Nevada, where the story follows a teenage runaway by the name of Finn Jacobs. After losing his parents in an unfortunate accident, Finn is left homeless and struggles to find food, warmth, and shelter. As he runs through the town day by day, he meets a kind man who offers to give him a home in exchange for his services. The man turns out to be a homeless junkie living off of his side job at the bar that lives in the over 420 miles of tunnels all throughout Las Vegas, and plans his escape. Before he can carry out his carefully thought-out plan, he meets a nicely-kept girl who isn't who she turns out to be, as she is considered to be very dangerous for those that strive in the tunnels. As they try to run away, they become their main target. With nothing to lose, he teams up with her in hopes of a better life. But once you're in the dark, it isn't so easy to find your way out.
