I stretched before wrapping my cover around my body once more time that night. Slowly my mouth opened that created a yawn. My eyes drifted close and sleep overtook my body. - I awoke to the smell of burning and screams. My eyes bulged as I saw fire consuming the room I was in. Throwing off the cover I just had on me I slipped on slippers and ran out the room, down the stairs, and out the door. My mouth hung open as I turned around to look at the house I was in. It was engulfed in flames. People were gathering around as the house burned down to ashes luckily no one else was in there. I turned to look at the street and saw something even more horrifying. The whole neighborhood was in flames. Young girls screamed for their parents as they looked at their house. Parents looked frantically around for their children. People were bring thrown into white vans. I knew this was going to happen one day, but I didn't think it would happen today. The vampires they're attacking.

(Cover made by @Infin1ty_y) I walked along the edge of the sidewalk near the buildings that towered over my small figure. I stop to turn and look down a long, dark alley. I can feel the urge inside me, the pictures running through my head, the images that are too gruesome to be okay to think about. I close my eyes. I was so mad at myself, then. I couldn't be any more disgusted than I already was. I opened them to see nothing there, no people, no animals. No souls to take. No lives to end. I should have been relieved or happy. Yet, I screamed my pain out, anyway.
