When two dragons hatch from the same egg, one is always destined to have a long and happy life. The other's survival is never guaranteed. Starchaser was never meant to survive her birth, the fact that she did was pure luck. Her life wasn't the best, going through much torture because of her small size. Going to school seems like a death sentence, until she meets a certain SandWing that just might be able to give her the happy ending and love she's always wanted...
I don't see many of these, so I decided to give all the Qibli fans their happiness. Hope you enjoy. Most of this is the actual book, but it will be changed some, so please don't be all like "Oh, Moon never did that" or "Winter never thought that, did he?" because I will get ticked off. Like I said before, enjoy the story. I'll try to update weekly, but when school starts, I dunno.

Alrighty then, this is a Winterwatcher story for all of the souls who got crushed at the end of book 10 in Wings of Fire, including mine. Moon is starting to have second thoughts about if choosing Qibli was really the best choice after all. Meanwhile, Winter is living alone in Sanctuary, no friends, a cramped, run-down apartment, and is pretty much broke after his research on scavengers earned him no money. A squad of 101st Airborne, bound for Japan after VE Day, are suddenly and mysteriously wrecked in Pyrrhia, a land of dragons and adventure. Do they have what it takes to survive and get home? What new and strange rules are to be found in this place? Are they able to face down a traitor in their midst? What if the dragonet inside it actually survived? What if the SkyWing was hidden in a deep pit with only a sick IceWing guardian to take care of? After ten years, when the war of the SandWing Succession has finally come to a glorious ending and the Eye of Onyx has crowned Thorn as their new SandWing queen, Soaren, the surviving SkyWing, has been having trouble living in the pit for ten years all his life. He wanted to see the world. He wanted the sun to finally touch his scales. He wanted to spread his wings freely. His very, very large wings. When his IceWing guardian was about to die of SandWing venom, Soaren was determined to save him by travelling to the Rainforest, where he heard he could retrieve the cure for the venom. It would have been easier than going to the Sand Kingdom. But as Soaren flies through his journey, he meets a peculiar dragon as he passes the Sea Kingdom and some interesting dragons while he stays in the Rainforest. However, a strange occurrence happened at Jade Mountain. He and a few friends try to solve the mystery, gathering up all the clues while the SkyWing wonders if he should go back to his guardian. Soaren had hid his true identity as the 'lost' SkyWing, but he needs to eventually open up. With the NightWings in the Rainforest, more mind readers will be born and they'll find out who he is. But worst of all, he'll have to face something far more terrible than anyone could have imagined...
