I gently unwrap the heap of blankets to find a small, blue-eyed, blonde-furred puppy. A cocker spaniel to be exact. I give it a sad smile. "Come on it's okay. I'm here and you are safe, that's all that matters." I pick the dog up and set her in my lap. "Come on morph back. I wanna talk to you." The young pup closes it's eyes. A small aura of light surrounds it's body. The face slowly shifts and shapes itself to look more human like. The body soon follows as the front paws gain hands and stretch out. The tail recedes and the ears turn into wavy, human hair. In my lap now sits a small seven-year-old with powers normal humans only dream about having. The truth is, she's not the only one.

I lifted my top slightly to see that there was a faint scar of the burn, I smiled at the thought of no more pain. I looked up to see the wolves were gone. "You have a lot of explaining to do young lady." I turned around to see Vincent and James with only shorts on. "I don't know what you mean?" I said innocently. I looked around to see Ethan gone. "We mean how did your wounds heal so quickly?" Vincent replied. "Well to get an answer you will have to catch me first." I said running off letting my wolf take over once again, Natalie shifts into my wolf and takes off. It wasn't long until they turned up and they hadn't found his parents, I asked "what happens with him now?" They carefully pick him up "he goes into a foster home, he is young so he shouldn't stay there for long." I nodded my head and asked "can I take him, I will adopt him if I have to but that is no place for a baby." The social worker turned to me "I am sorry but a single lady like yourself is in no place to raise a baby by yourself." As I was then going to respond Jaike cut in "she isn't alone and single she has me her boyfriend and we both want to take him in." She nodded her head "okay I will make arrangements." She left the room leaving us with this baby boy, I turned to Jaike and said "you didn't need to do that, I want to have him not for you to be in it half heartedly."
