A average 17 year-old girl lives her days at school, tames her love-struck boyfriend, and realizes her life isn't as normal as it seems. Her first Night hunter test starts with losing her mother and little brother in a demonic raid. Aeron, her Night World guide, is sent to get her and take her to Evening Star for Night Hunters like her. She learns her famliy is alive and well There while her life crumbles in front of her eyes. First, she learns she controls the element of ice and obtains a dragon specified to only be hers. Second, her first day is ruined by learning she is engaged to, more to an enemy than a friend, Aeron Rowland. Third, she must save the balance between the two races of Hunters, Day and Night.
