He beat him to the point where the boy wanted death. 

His father unwillingly gave the boy a choice. 

The boy felt lost and hopeless. 

Then the day came on his sixteenth birthday and the boy fought back and ran.

As he stopped in the center of the forest and was surrounded by massive werewolves he grinned.
