Makoto and Hajime, our two protagonists had each beaten their respective Killing Games each. Makoto learnt to search for Hope, Hajime learnt to create his own Future.

But, they both weren't satisfied.

Somewhere, within their hearts, they didn't want the outcome they received. Makoto wanted his classmates to become alive, Hajime wanted to change the past.

Those inner thoughts caused both a Reset in the New World Program and a Restart in the Killing School Life.

Hajime Hinata wasn't expecting much when he won the lottery to attend Hope's Peak Academy. The only reason he applied was so he could guarantee scholarship money to go to the same university as his childhood friend Chiaki. Being an average student, he didn't think he would make much of an impact on his classmates or even the school as a whole. However, after returning one of Gundham's Dark Deva's of Destruction, he opened the door to become one of the school's hosts in the café, or Ultimates as they're more well known.
