This is not a happy story, but it is a story that has to be told. It is a tale of March, 1949, when Latvians were being deported to Siberia for the second time. It is a tale of two sisters, who love each other more than anything. It is a tale of finding hope even in the darkest of times. It is a tale of being strong. This is the story of my country and though the characters are fictional the events are real.
