For a year, Zach has lived in the same town where his kid brother was executed. He's fallen in love with a talented musician and become a willing, participating citizen of the community. So much so that he has agreed to participate in the violent, gruesome Bite the Ice race. Each year the race claims the lives of all competitors except one.
