The life of 19-year-old Winona Banks turns into a kaleidoscopic whirlwind of mismatched colors and shapes once she finds out that her time in this world may be coming to an end in just five months.

Discouraged and on the verge of giving up, Winona's doctor comes up with a plan to have her attend group support sessions for grieving young adults to show her the repercussions of letting her sickness win and what her siblings would have to go through afterwards. Relenting to her doctor's wishes, Winona attends her first session where she meets Lachlan, a 20-year-old grade A smartass, who is fighting off his own inner demons from a recent loss that he wholly blames himself for.

With the help of her family and relationship with the new guy in her life, Winona realizes that although her future may be written out for her, she'll try her damn best to re-write fate itself.
