'The moon teaches us two things.' He uttered out of the blue after an hour of complete silence.
'What is?' i asked while staring above. We are under the starry sky with a waxing crescent moon. The air is quite chilly but it also brings comfort.
'The art of waiting and letting go.' He said it with a sigh. I wanted to ask him to elaborate further but sensing that i cannot understand what is his point, he supplied me with an answer.
'The other side of the world waits to see its full luminescence while the other lets go of its light and suffers darkness with the hope that they will able to witness it's beauty once more.'
'Just like how you let her go and waited' i answered with out thinking.
'Yes, just like i did.' His tone was so sad, i can't help but to look at him. He is looking anywhere but me, his eyes are focused to the moon, like it was his life's essence, the very reason for his existence.
I wanted to add something but i bit my tongue because it'll be like rubbing salt into the wound, it'll hurt more.
'But she never came back.'
I guess he heard my thoughts because he looked at me with those golden eyes and smiled,
'I have an eternity to wait.'
And that very moment, how i wish she was me.
