Mikayla knight is living behind a mask shielding all her fears away from the world, with the help of her protective brothers, a very bubbly best friend and the friends she gains on the way she is living a normal teenager's life except one Ares DeLuca is breaking all her defenses and is beginning to see through her mask and is doing it real quick Ares DeLuca had faced enough in the few years he has spent on earth, with the help of a man he has learned to call father and friends who were like family he could say all was good but then he meets this girl who is discovering the real him and he is unintentionally seeping through her façade and is seeing her through her mask "Babe, there's no difference between the both of us" his minty breath fanned my cheeks, he raised his hand on the wall trapping me between him and the wall "we all put on masks" his other hand caresses my left cheek "what matters is for how long we can go putting it on" with that said he left

You could put a gun to her head and she would close her eyes and say, "finally." In his twisted mind, everyone makes themselves out to be something their not. Everyone is hiding something. Memories haunt him at night as well as his mother's screams as he stays awake. Their damaged kids in a damaged world. She's broken. He's bent.
