Limitless

The year is 2477. America has been easily divided into multiple countries following the Discovery. The areas that used to be Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri all banded together to become the country of Roinn.

In the year 2357, children began developing certain abilities. These abilities became more popular and diverse, evolving from simple aversions to disease to full on bending light.

The year 2377 comes around, and the Division begins. Some abilities are stronger than others-they're known as Dark. Their blood is red with flecks of obsidian. They become strictly regulated on how they are to use their abilities in order to keep balance. The Darker magic abilities were frowned upon and surpressed. They were only free to use their ability without penalty in their side of Roinn.

The weaker abilities were known as Light-their blood was white, almost illuminating a glow. It was coveted to be like them, because they (unjustly) received every advantage the Dark was supposed to give up willingly.

This leads to the kingdoms going to war in the year 2427. There were many battles, but soon enough the Light won using a secret weapon-a cripple.

Cripples receive no magical abilities, they are seen as defective, or useless. However, they are extremely resistant to all magic, making their position in the army invaluable.

In the end, it didn't matter who won. Roinn divided, with one Dark Queen and one Light Queen.

None of this used to matter to cripple Loren Shini, until she and her best friend Scott were taken prisoner by the Light. He was drafted to the army. Loren became the headservant to Queen Justinia X of the Light.

And that is where this story truly begins.
