Victria McElliot is no ordinary teenage girl. She doesn't like changing. Changing schools. Changing styles. Changing to be different. At her previous school, boys were drooling over her, but guess what? No, if you guess that she didn't notice it, you're completely wrong. In fact, she did notice it, she just didn't care. The fact that her father and mother were once models for high ranking fashion industries, they expected their daughter to be beautiful. And she was. She didn't care. They expect her to be girly? Well, she's a little bit of boyish. Every girly girl loves and adores pink? She basically owns things that were dark. Girls love One Direction? Well, She loves Mayday Parade. Get the point? She's different and that's sickly sweet for one person in her new school. Isaac Temple, the school's one and only Mysterious Boy.

In which two ex-step-siblings reconnect after just about blowing up their family the first time around... Three years ago, Maddie fell hard for Jacob Isaacs, the smartest boy in her school. The only problem was this: Her dad had quite literally gotten engaged to his mother. The two tried to dampen the flames of their burgeoning attraction for each other but not before they got caught and were the talk of the town for months. After the fall out, Maddie moved away to try and start her life over and not be known as the girl who got caught doing it with her 'brother' at prom. She hasn't seen her family in ages and intends to keep things that way. Jacob, on the other hand, has worked hard to accomplish everything he's ever dreamed of. He's stayed close to home, done exceptionally well at school, and is adored by just about everyone who meets him. There's only one problem: There's a Maddie-shaped hole where his heart used to be. But no matter how hard he tries to reach out and find her, he can't. She won't let him. He let her down and gave up on them when she needed him most. And she's not ready to forgive and forget. But then Maddie's dad passes and she's forced to come home for his funeral. It should be a quick visit. She intends to make it one. But Jacob has other plans. He let his girl slip through his fingers once and he won't let that happen again. So now he has to convince her to give him one more chance. After all, they're not related to each other anymore.

Evelyn Moon: She is 18 right now and has a dream of becoming a singer. She is a major klutz. Evelyn sarcastic but is too obvious about it so she is horrible with using traits that runs in her family. She tells terrible jokes then laughs about then and talks all the time. She had brown eyes and brown hair. Her surrounding nature kills off any and all possibilities of trying to look on the bright side of life. She tends to stick around her friends instead of staying home with her so called family. Her family is always working constantly, and she doesn't really get the attention a teenage girl needs. Sure she gets the money but that is not what she wants or needs. She wants a family who will sit and eat around the dinner table asking, "How was your day?" Her father was murdered by one of his co-workers. Her mother is always at work so she doesn't really get those heart-to- heart conversations like most people can. Alice Knight: She is turning 18 in a month and is hoping to become a dancer for Evelyn. She is a senior in high school just hoping to get a good job and become successful in life. She is a bit klutzy and constantly having blonde moments. She passes the classes that she is taking as if it were a fly by to her. She is the witty person of her family and acts just her father. She is also very sarcastic and is always using the trait with ease. She talks all the time and her talking is sometimes compared to the Energizer Bunny, on going, never ends. Alice has brown hair and brown eyes. Alice's surrounding nature is always getting distracted by something. Her family was a normal family. Her mom died in a car crash when she was 13. She got along with her mom a lot better than her dad. After her mom died in the car crash, her dad started abusing alcohol. Her dead and her fight a lot. Her dad makes the stupidest choices ever. She wishes she could have her normal family back. She gets good grades so she can get out of the hell hole she lives in.
