Our protagonist had this reaction while having that Award... 
Yes, everybody becomes shocked while having such kinds of moments.. but, she was Right. It was a tough call that she won !

An innocent daughter of Rahul Mehra and Rashi Mehra, Seona Mehra was a beautiful teenaged girl. But, she wore spectacles, had pimples all over her face & braces fixed in her teeth. 

She had a very big talent. She DANCED, very gracefully. When she used to dance, everyone had their jaws dropped.
