A princess falls asleep to a war and awakes to an empty kingdom.

When the forces of the Fair Folk seized the kingdom belonging to the Starbornes, they unleashed their newly developed weapon; a mist that forced the people to fall into a deep sleep.

Princess Larkin awakes in a tower, alone and disoriented, twenty years after the usurp. The world is a different and unforgiving place. Her elder siblings are either dead or captives, and the Fair Folk are the rulers of a kingdom where her own people are now enslaved.

As a child, she was rash and reckless, but now she must be the Queen she never thought she'd be. Born without the hereditary Starborne powers like her siblings, Lark is just another human but with a crown. Her only claim to the throne is her blood rather than the magic that runs through her family tree.

As the Fair Folk march against the last human stronghold in the East, Lark struggles to become the Queen she needs to be without the abilities that they have come to expect from a Starborne.

She cannot defeat the Fair Folk alone. Their allies turned against them in support of the Fair Folk, and so Lark must turn to the one race her family banished centuries ago; the Mountain Sprites. Handsome, distant, and war-loving King Caspian of the Sprites is no lover of her kind after they trapped them beyond the Mountains, and he is not keen to see a Starborne return to the throne. However, Lark makes him an offer he cannot refuse in a desperate attempt to save her people and restore the dynasty.

Finding out that your parents, the people that raised you your whole life, weren't your actual parents was hard. Being told at the ripe ol' age of eighteen that you're the last living member from an Ancient Shifter line, the one responsible for creating the First Shifters, was inconceivable. Especially when a group of assassins were on their way to exterminate me simply for just existing. Kidnapped from my bed by three extremely stunning and grumpy Alphas, and forced to attend a special Shifter University located in the middle of nowhere, I have to navigate an unfamiliar and unknown secreted world while simultaneously trying avoiding those who want to use my lineage to enact an age-old curse. Join Nova Nyx as she's dragged into a world full of Shifters, Secrets, and Startling Surprises. ~~~ "Mates?" I repeated owlishly, blinking rapidly at the one worded bomb they just dropped on me "What are Mates?" Instead of answering my question, they just stared back at me in silence, arms crossed over their broad chests. I ignored their silence, choosing to focus on second part of their sentence. "And you're telling me I have three of them?" I gawked "How many are you supposed to get? I can barely handle myself and my life at this point and you want me to worry about three other people?" Of course the most annoying man I've ever met smirked at my bafflement. "I don't think it'll be such a hardship for you" he said, arrogance lacing his tone "After all, I hear these three Mates of yours are very self-sufficient." "Don't forget extremely gorgeous" his Buffon of a friend chimed in, winking at me "That's a plus for you Princess." "One," the third one growled out at me, finally speaking up and adding subsistence to the conversation, startling the banter from the other two "You're only supposed to be blessed with one Mate in your entire lifetime."
The Bloom of Ruin by purplekushbabe

The gods are silent now - their echoes swallowed by the dying light of two kingdoms that once believed themselves eternal. Starlight flickers, shadows fracture, and the air itself trembles with the memory of what was lost. The peace that was promised is gone; the balance that was stolen demands its debt. Aurora Valenstar has become both salvation and curse - the last bloom of a kingdom built on stolen dawns. Her blood carries the seed of renewal, yet her heart bears the mark of ruin. Bound to the Shadow-Crowned King by fate and fire, she must choose whether to save the world that betrayed her or the monster who might still be its only hope. Love becomes a weapon. Mercy, a death sentence. And every truth she uncovers unravels the last threads of who she once was. In the depths of the Shadowlands, Killian Varyn faces the prophecy he's long denied: that to heal the dying realm, he must destroy the one soul tethered to his own. But even monsters can tremble when the light they feared begins to reach for them. When gods return to reclaim what was theirs, he will learn that the line between devotion and damnation is drawn in her blood. As Lumeris crumbles and the Veil cracks, blood will turn against blood, the skies will burn, and the last crown will fall not with a roar - but with a whisper. For in this final reckoning, life will only bloom through ruin, and the end will come not in shadow... but in light too bright to survive. Fate cannot be rewritten. It can only be fulfilled. And when the last petal falls, even the gods will kneel.

THE WITCH'S HEIR (The Witch's Crown #1)

38 parts Ongoing

Twenty years after Queen Natalya Kastillion reclaimed her throne and restored the old religion, the realm has flourished. Magic is no longer hunted but revered. Ancient beings walk the earth again. Elves, druids, and sacred creatures live openly within the kingdom she rebuilt through war and sacrifice. But peace is never permanent. Kaelen, son of the High Priestess and the realm's heir, carries the weight of a kingdom shaped by legends. He is trained in magic, politics, and battle, yet remains unproven. When a forgotten evil rises from the ashes, Kaelen must step into a world shaped by his mother's legacy...and protect it from crumbling beneath the weight of its own rebirth. Beside him stands Natalya, older, wiser, and still every inch a warrior-queen. But not even she foresaw that her greatest battle might be fought through her son. In a world of dragons, cursed immortals, and the return of beings thought long extinct, the crown must pass, but the war for the soul of magic has only just begun.
