Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. She is the only child and with her mother being sickly and her father not being around she is trying to make ends meet while juggling school. The beautiful complex of her milk chocolate skin, her big hazel eyes, her coke shape body, her deep dimples that makes her smile even prettier, her hair that flowed over her shoulders made her stand out even though she didn't have much. Then she met someone who she thought that could change everything for her and her family. Don, one of the most known thugs, drug dealer, and killer in her hood. His looks weren't the only thing that attracted girls to him. (His dark chocolate skin, his big dark brown eyes, his upper body muscle that went with his 5'10 height.) It was his money. Doing everything he wanted for her to make some cash she ends up putting herself in danger.
