Hudson Lewis should have been in second period with Mr. Turner. Collin, his best friend, would have been sitting next to him. Yet, his chair was empty and that decision would follow him everywhere.
"A girl who I had begun to like, much more than I would ever possibly admit, was in my lap but not in any of the ways that I was used to. Her blood seeped through my shirt and it was all over my hands."
There's only so much booze and guilt that a teenage boy can take. Riddled with nightmares from tragedy and haunted by what he wishes he could've done. How much longer until he breaks? And, will he be able to pick up the pieces?

Hunting the Fairy Tale by MaggieOHighley

This story is my happy place; I do not plan on ever finishing it. It will go on and on like a soapie. Might break it up into volumes later. "Grab a bunch of broken misfits, chuck them in a tribe, add some glitter and loads of weird-as garbage, voila, you've got yourself a fairy tale... kinda... just... you know... minus the fairies..." Paisley Davenport ♫ When Willow Mayfair's life falls apart, her mother brings her to Briar Cove, the small coastal town where she grew up. Living with Rebecca's childhood friend, a new world filled with love, excitement, and friendship opens up for both of them. For everybody who also dreams of a fairy tale and won't care if the "knights" were a little dirty. Genre: Slice of Life/Romance/Humour This is a slow-burn journey through love and life, filled with an array of beloved characters, their sad moments, happy moments and a multitude of bat-sh#t crazy moments. P.S.: This is not a fairy tale... Thank you: Micaela, for helping the characters take on a life of their own and encouraging me to keep on writing. Phillo, for not minding reading girly stories... if it's to help your mom. Jeandré, your weird-as sense of humour and quirky feedback inspires me and keeps me going. ♫ This is a work of fiction. Any names or characters, businesses or places, events or incidents are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
