12-year-old Dante is depressed.

She is bullied and orphaned.

She does not know who her parents were nor why they abandoned her.

All she remembers is running around in the world, stealing food to live.

She goes to a school called Red Loot High. Yes, a 12-year-old in a high school. She is too intelligent for primary school, so why not?

Anyhow, she is bullied and hates her life. One day, she decides to cut. But what she doesn't expect to see is golden blood. Yes, golden blood. She has loved Greek and Roman mythology since she could remember, so of course she knows its ichor. But why does she have it?

Things start to get stranger when the next day, monsters come for her. Like, manticores. She fights them off, but decides to leave Red Loot High, knowing she is putting (even though revolting) human beings at risk.

Her name means endurance, but just how much can she endure?
